Designed with the show and competition jouster in mind as well as those inclined towards the equestrian martial arts. This armour is designed around maximum flexibility and light weight balanced by strength to resist whatever can be dished out by blunt lances and swords or horses hooves. Comprised of; a bellows faced visorhelm (you pad), a bevor, a straight waisted, divided cuirasse with a two lame fauld and two lame tassets, a left pauldren with passguard and shield strap, a right brassert called a splint arm with a small espallier type pauldren that barely cups the shoulder joined to a shell type couter that covers only the outside of the elbow and a demi vambrace that covers the outside of the forearm only, a pair of legyrns with one piece greaves and a jousting shield. Flexibility is the operative word in any equestrian sport and in martial arts as well. This suit is designed to present as a full armour while providing toe touching and saddle vaulting flexibility. The fauld at the bottom of the breastplate rotates up to actually grip the saddle and the backplate is cut high to not interfere with the high cantle of true jousting saddles. The right brassert, covering only the outside of the arm and left pauldren allow maximum movement while protecting from lance and sword. The legyrns are cut back so as not to interfere with the saddle or the feel of the horse. They are also pretty handy when clipping the list with your knee or for the open field jousters clashing knees.
