The material used in the sport visor
is a pre-hardened 14 gauge perforated steel.

The armet differs from the closed helm in that it's, cheek plates open up to the side, unlike the bevor plate on a closed helm that rotates from the temple. This helm has the sheepskin liner. |

The latch is substantial and designed
to take direct impacts.
