The piece is then placed on the flat
of the anvil with the inside towards the operator. The edge of the plate
is then struck so as to set the edge back against the body of the metal.
Note that there is air space within the rolled edge and that it is not
simply folded down.

The corners are addressed in the same
stages as the edges. The small wrinkles that occur are inevitable, but
when they are distributed evenly around the curve and pounded down evenly
the are invisible from the outside of the piece. Make certain to leave
no corneres of metal pointing in.
